Campaign Story

My name is Mae and my husbands name is Joe. We are 35 years old and we poured all of our savings into having a child of our own. The worst part is we succeeded but we never got to bring her home. We found out at 14 weeks 4 days that I had a missed miscarriage at a private ultrasound company and were rushed off to the ER to confirm she was gone. We have no idea what happened and while we are blessed to be able to keep her for so long, she’s gone to heaven. This made even harder because she passed on the anniversary of my mother’s death. We have no family and no one seems to understand our desire to have a child. I’m forced to ask the kindness of strangers who also understand the pain and loss fertility challenges face. I wouldn’t even have to use IVF if it wasn’t for a doctor who ill advised me when I was younger and he took my ability to have kids naturally. I had no idea and by the time I figured it out, it was too late to do anything about it. Please help me give my husband a child, and a second chance for a rainbow to come home after this terrible time. Our lives have been hard and difficult and yet we stay strong, hoping somewhere out there is our chance.
